10-15 Members per Group

Twleve is the ideal number for a C12 Group, as our name implies, allowing for sound interpersonal dynamics and a rich mix of non-competing businesses and functional expertise among members.

$1 Million to $1 Billion+ in Revenues

C12 serves companies with five or more employees and annual revenues of at least $1M. Most C12 members lead mid-sized firms with hundreds of employees.

The C12 Group is a confidential, solicitation free, safe environment, encouraging members to be honest and open with their challenges in living one integrated life under the Lordship Christ.

C12 is a fee-for-service company that operates on membership dues. Prospective members must be invited to join.

What’s in a Name?

Our name, The C12 Group, is intentional. C stands for Christ while 12 represents the ideal number for a C12 Group. Our colors, crimson and parchment, remind us of Christ’s blood, sacrificed for us, and the centrality of God’s Word. Our name is a constant reminder that we are stewards of all that has been entrusted to us.

Strand Corp, Buck launched C12 to help Christian business executives and owners. Buck is also the author of several books, including A Light Shines Bright in Babylon – A Handbook for Christian Business Owners, A Strategic Plan for Ministry, and The Parable of the Janitor and the CEO.

Don Barefoot

Don Barefoot is a career CEO/COO with two decades of experience as top executive of five global leadership companies. Barefoot joined The C12 Group, LLC, in 2002 as the first C12 Chair in the Carolinas, joined the Board in 2003, became President in 2005, and CEO in 2006. As a former turn-around CEO, Don enjoys equipping Christian CEOs to lead their companies with a powerful blend of timeless Biblical principles and best-in-class general management practices. Barefoot is a graduate of M.I.T.’s Sloan School (MBA) and Kettering University (BSIA).

Dave Gullotti

VP of Market Expansion

Gullotti joins the C12 executive team with more than 20 years of experience in marketing, sales, and entrepreneurial startups. In addition to serving as Marketing Director for a multi-billion dollar services firm, he has served as CEO and President for several organizations. Most recently, as COO, he was instrumental in transforming an unprofitable $8 million company into a solidly profitable $20 million business in less than five years. In addition to his leadership prowess, Gullotti is a seasoned life and business coach with an MS in Christian Counseling from Cairn University.

Troy Blackmon

VP of Field Operations

As VP of Field Operations, Blackmon serves, equips and encourages C12 Chairs to lead thriving practices that honor the Lord and serve their members. Troy joined C12 in 2008, serving as Managing Chair in Nashville, TN. Blackmon’s diverse background includes executive leadership, sales development, team building, and operations. Prior to joining C12, Blackmon served at Chick-fil-A, Inc. managing $35+ million in revenue, was partner at One-Accord where he served in various vice president roles, and was president for a technology private equity group. He holds a BS from Sam Houston State University.

Mark Dillon

C12 Board Member; President of Tampa Bay Steel Corporation

Mark Dillon now serves as C12 Chair in Lakeland, Florida. Prior to launching his C12 practice in 2013, Mark led a steel distribution company with annual sales in excess of $60 million. Mark joined C12 as a member in 1996 and is one of the original C12 Board of Directors. Under his leadership, Tampa Bay Steele Company introduced corporate chaplaincy and revamped compensation to include pay for performance. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting from the University of South Florida.

Dave Dunkel

Dave serves as Chairman and CEO of Kforce Professional Staffing headquartered in Tampa, FL, with 62 offices across the United States, specializing in flexible and permanent employment for technology, finance, accounting and health and life sciences professionals. As a long-time C12 member, Dave has grown Kforce to be one of the 15 largest public staffing firms in the U.S., employing over 11,000 contingent “knowledge” workers annually.

Darryl Lanker

C12 Board Member, CEO/Owner of Bedrock Resources LLC

Darryl is President of Bedrock Resources, a mining operation in Florida producing aggregates for the road construction industry and calcium materials used in coal burning power plants. A C12 member for two decades, Darryl transformed his company’s mission statement to actively promote Christian values while touching employees, customers, suppliers and stakeholders. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Ohio State University and an MBA from Harvard Business School.
